LODGINGS AND RESTAURANTS

At any time of the year, St. Albans is a small, charming Vermont City to visit. Well-preserved architecture of yesteryear combines with tree-lined parks, gourmet restaurants, quaint shops, and up-to-date lodgings, to provide the newcomer with a warm welcome, and a rich, pleasure-filled experience.  In the midst of working dairy farms and close to the shores of historic Lake Champlain, (soon to celebrate the 250th anniversary of  Samuel De Champlain’s discovery) St. Albans is a feast for the eyes and the spirit.

And there is no better time to be in St. Albans than during the last week in April, when the City puts on a special welcome to host the Vermont Maple Festival.  Winter’s over - the new crop of maple syrup has been harvested from the woods by farm families, and it’s time for home town folks and visitors alike to join in the festivities and enjoy the official Flavor of Vermont
