The Maple Festival is a large, statewide event which could not exist without the support of Sponsors and Friends who financially help to keep many of the Festival's activities free of charge three days full of fun, activities, and learning, all centered around the theme of Maple Vermont's signature product! In return, the website and media attention provided by the Festival create exposure for sponsors, drawing the attention of festival-goers to supporting businesses and organizations.

Meet Mascot Marty Maple!
In the early years of the Vermont Maple Festival, sometime after its beginning in 1967, a Festival Mascot was created – Marty Maple. He appeared in his sugarmaker red plaid jacket and green wool pants, at the annual event, and was replicated on wooden statues as an award to outgoing chairpersons of the Festival.

Over the years, the original Marty was lost, and all that remained were two of the old wooden awards, kindly loaned to the Festival by families of the recipients.

A fullsize Marty was brought back to life in 2013, and now welcomes visitors to the Festival in locations around the grounds.
You can find him outside the Exhibit Hall, in Taylor Park, and photoop versions elsewhere with cutouts for a real live face.
