2018 Sugarhouse Tours to be announced
Established in 1988, Jeff & Linda Corey's sugarhouse is located in Fletcher, Vermont. They boil from 17,500 taps on a 5 x 16 oil fired evaporator with a steam pan. They process sap through two 6 post R.O.s. They use V.F.D drive vacuum pumps on their pipeline system, and have H2O Smart Trek vacuum sensors in their woods. Their power is generated by two solar trackers.
Pursuing his dream at the young age of 17, Robbie Morrill, now 24, has reached up to 14,000 taps within the past 8 years located in Georgia, Vermont. Before going full time in the Maple Sugaring business, he formerly worked as an employee of CDL USA. Robbie’s Maple syrup is processed with a 4000 GPH CDL reverse osmosis and a 4x15’ Master oil fired evaporator, producing almost 100 gallons of syrup an hour. Morrill also utilizes some of the newest technology for vaccum leak detection in the woods with the CDL monitoring system, which all relays back to a TV in the sugarhouse.
